About Mel and Chris

About Mel:

Mel is a lifelong resident of Saint John. He is married to Karla Baxter and is the oldest son of Mel & Bette (Friars) Vincent, he has three sisters Jill, Amy & Elizabeth and a brother Mike. Mel graduated from Simonds High and then earned a B.A. from UNB. He was most recently employed with the province of New Brunswick as a Research and Policy officer with the Legislative Assembly prior to that he was with Enterprise Saint John as their Immigration Project Coordinator assisting our newest citizens under the Provincial Nominee Program. His passion though has always been as an entrepreneur, his past ownership and management in the business community combined with his work experience makes him one of our areas top Agents.

Mel and his wife Karla love to sail and can often be found plying the waters of the Kennebecasis and Saint John rivers in their Cape Dory, they also love to travel and hike as often as Mel’s business allows though having a tendency to be a workaholic can get in the way. If a short break can be arranged they also love to go to their wilderness camp and enjoy some down time away from modern conveniences and try to work a ride in their all terrain Argo to enjoy more of what Mother Nature has to offer. Mel is also very active in his community, he has been a member of a number of boards and presently is contributing to the Saint John Alzheimer Society and is very pleased to be recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Saint John Real Estate Board once again demonstrating that his peers look to him for leadership and direction.

About Chris:

Chris retired from teaching after 30 years in District 6 and decided that she would embark on a new career - Real Estate. Chris understands that buying or selling a home is one of the most important financial decisions we make, and that having the right person assist makes that decision easier. Chris’ ability to work with people helps her recognize their needs and whether buying or selling in the country, the city or the suburbs she is committed to providing you with the best, most knowledgeable and up-to-date experience possible. Chris, her husband Bill and son Danny have lived on the Belleisle Bay, in Kiersteadville, for the past 18 years. They are all very involved with their church, Chris and Danny as Deacons and Chris and Bill with the church choir. In her spare time Chris can be found in the garden or enjoying the waters of the Belleisle Bay. She is involved with her Sorority, Xi Psi, a chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International; with the Kings County Retired Teachers and the Fairvale Elementary Retired Teachers Associations.
